Special thanks to Boston’s Pretty and Nice who came and spun some tracks on KZSC this Saturday. Holden, Jeremy, Bo and Tuck picked out some McCartney, some They Might Be Giants, and spun a bunch of tracks off of their album Get Young, which is available on Hardly Art. They also ate some tacos enthusiastically. Their show at Zami was a total blast – the live show is a lot more electric and loud than the record. Gone are the synths and programming, all replaced with drums and guitars. It works as an extremely tight spastic energetic dance party that rocks more than it clicks.
Bo is in another band, The Wonderful Spells who has a free EP available online at their website. I really like it, and if you like Pretty and Nice, you will too.
