For those of you lucky enough to be romping around Santa Cruz for the summer, there are some great live music shows popping up all over the place. Here at KZSC we’ll try to keep you updated on any music events that you really should be attending.
SHOWS! You love them, we love them. Come out, feel good, support your local music scene. Out of these three shows, there’s something for everyone (catch me at the sweetest one on the list). Need more info? Email [email protected]
Here’s the local music forecast for the next few days:
First up is a sweaty sweaty dance show at the Crepe Place this Sunday. If you’re tired of DDR and hate riding bikes, get a nighttime is LA-time dance workout with local dance band Sheena. Openers TPF! and locals Moon Cadillac will warm you up oh so good. Show starts at 9pm and is $8.
Then on Monday at The Bike Church get cute, have fun, dance jingle jingle dance. Local garage fuzz masters Palm Yard will be there to help swoon you straight into summer. Opening is Razz M’ Tazz (oh my god they’re cute, have keyboards and are from Olympia.) and Socks & Sandals (members of Hail Seizures). This will probably be one of the most good natured shows of your life. Plus, it’s at The Bike Church. We love the Bike Church. Show starts at 6pm and probably requires some sort of friendly donation (read: cupcakes).
Hold tight ’till Wednesday when the beautiful San Francisco folk for the win band Port O’Brien will be playing with gorgeous orchestral dream band The Devotionals at the Crepe Place. Show is at 9pm, $10.
