“AP sources: Guantanamo might not close by January
It has been a while my fellow metal heads. Exciting things happening at KZSC with the start of the Fall quarter. New musics are coming out too that are awesome. I’m sitting in a meeting where we are talking about our future and stuff so I’m going to go now…
As a few of you may have heard, one of our dear student DJs, Austin Plummer died last Sunday
in a mountain climbing accident at Yosemite. DJ Austintacious hosted the glam rock fabulous show “Boys Like Girls” last Spring and “Stuck in the Garage”, a garage rock show this summer. He was a wonderful addition to our station and we’re all very sorry to see him go so soon. This Thursday on the regularly scheduled Stuck in the Garage, we’ll be airing some highlights from previous shows of his, playing some songs in his memory, and wishing him a peaceful journey on.
If you are a friend or family member of Austin and would like to share a few words with our listeners, I encourage you to contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org or call-in to the show as it airs.
This Friday Metamusic will be hosting a reallyyyy fabulously fun show filled with all Santa Cruz bands! If you’re new to the area and want to get re-oriented to the local music scene, this is your chance!
And Acid Tapestries should just change their name to “No Myspace Yet”.
Greetings KZSC Listeners! This is Benny Goodman Einstein of Sad Bastard Music speaking to you over the internet! I just wanted to let you all know that I will be interviewing Mason Jennings live in studio on Tuesday, September 22nd at 3:15 PM. He’s going to play a show at The Catalyst that night, and he has graciously given up an hour of his busy day to come up to KZSC and play a few acoustic songs in our air studio. Be sure to tune in, it should be a thought provoking and interesting little music experience. Thanks in advance for tuning into the Great 88!
