Since this week is KZSC’s fall pledge drive, everyone in the Rising Tide radio collective has been busy preparing a show befitting such an important event. For starters, they have an interview with one of the most promising Bay Area bands of the year, The Morning Benders, whose newest release Big Echo has earned the praise of critics on both the east and west coast. Rising Tide DJ Rigmarole caught lead singer Chris Chu before the Morning Benders took the stage at the Rio Theatre last Friday night; you’ll hear what the indie rock frontman had to say about life, music, and whatever else came to mind.
Also, this week’s live local music spotlight will shine brightly on Santa Cruz’s very own San Narciso. The post-punk trio will be celebrating the release of their debut EP, Friend Prices Sunday, October 24th at the Crepe Place with Bay Area’s favorites French Miami and XOXO. Fine, upstanding citizens or criminal masterminds? Listen and discuss when San Narciso visit KZSC.
A special show for the Fall Pledge Drive Friday night on The Rising Tide. Tune in at 8:30pm and remember to pledge!
