Don Carlos

With the recent passing of “The Cool Ruler” Gregory Issacs, it’s a good time to see and appreciate the true original greats of reggae while they’re still alive. Don Carlos has been recording and performing roots music since the 1960′s. He’s best known for his stint as vocalist with Black Uhuru and songs like “Pass Me the Laser Beam” however but The Don still has lots to say. Don Carlos & the Dub Vision band perform Friday, November 12th at Moe’s Alley in Santa Cruz. Opening will be Thrive. Doors at 8 pm; music begins at 9.
