This Santa Cruz tradition has been thrilling crowds for over three decades. The Fair is your opportunity to visit the kingdom of Fungi and learn about the hundreds of beautiful and fascinating species of local mushrooms on display in a re-created woodland habitat. The 37th annual Santa Cruz Fungus Fair features a special room full of hands-on activities for the kids including a fungus exploration area, clay mushroom building, face paints, and more. There’s cooking demos, lectures by nationally-known experts and a chance to bring in your own samples for identification. Displays include the delicious, the deadly and the trippy ones. Presented by the Fungus Federation of Santa Cruz, the Fungus Fair takes place at the Louden Nelson Center on Cedar Street in Santa Cruz Friday January 7th through Sunday the 9th.
