Vusi Mahlasela is “The Voice”

Known as the “The Voice” in his home-country of South Africa, Vusi Mahlasela captures hearts with his latest album “Say Africa”. Some of you FIFA fans may recall his performance in the 2010 FIFA World Cup Kickoff Concert which features the song “Say Africa”! The album is satisfyingly eclectic, optimistic, and poetic. Vusi is not only a singer-songwriter, but an influential figure. At a young age, he became a poet-activist and joined the Congress of South African Writers. He was invited to perform at Nelson Mandela’s inauguration in 1994. Vusi is also an official ambassador to 46664, the HIV/AIDS initiative started by Mandela.
