Grasstowne plays both traditional and contemporary bluegrass, and has two upcoming gigs on the central coast, Saturday, February 26, 2011 at 7:00pm at the Morgan Hill Grange Hall, 40 East 4th Street, Morgan Hill, CA (408) 779-5456 and a matinee show on Sunday, February 27, 2011 at 1:00pm at Don Quixote’s, 6275 Highway 9, Felton, CA (831) 603-2294. Grasstowne is a band comprised of wily bluegrass and acoustic music veterans and young whippersnappers: Alan Bibey (mandolin) and Steve Gulley (guitar) are powerful singers and talented songwriters and have been a part of numerous bands over the past 25 years, including Doyle Lawson & Quicksilver, IIIrd Tyme Out, and Mountain Heart, while the younger members Justin Jenkins (banjo), Kameron Keller (bass) and Adam Haynes (fiddle) fill out the band with heart and enthusiasm.
