Swedish traditional band Väsen will be performing Wednesday, March 16, 2011 at 7:30pm at The Kuumbwa Jazz Center, 320 Cedar St., Santa Cruz, CA. Presented by the Community Music School of Santa Cruz, this tall (literally) trio consists of Olov Johansson (nyckelharpa = keyed fiddle), Mikael Marin (viola & violin), and Roger Tallrot ( guitar, bosoki). They have released seven critically acclaimed albums as a band as well as assorted solo albums.
