UCSC’s cross country team captain Charles Quan will join Slug Talk on air today at 4 PM to promote the Slug Run number 6. Sure to be an amazing event and it will take place 9 days from now on Sunday, April 17th, beginning at 7:45am and going throughout the entire morning. Registration for the run will begin at 6:45 AM, however we highly recommend pre-registration. You can pre-register for the events by logging on to active.com. Amazing and beautiful Slug Socks are guaranteed to all the pre-registered participants. The first race, the kids 1k race, will take place at 7:45 AM, the 5K and 10k races will be at 8AM. It takes place at the beautiful Upper East Field Jogging Track and Grass Triangle; hence the phrase “A Run with a View”. This is one of the greatest views in the entire world, if I might say so myself.
Proceeds from this event help support the wonderful and dedicated Slug cross country team and track teams. I can’t emphasize enough this is a truly terrific event and a great way to help raise money for and support the UCSC slug athletics department. For more information you can log onto www.xc.slugly.com or e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org. It will be a lot fun and we hope you can come out and support the slug cross country and the UCSC athletics department in general.
