The 25th annual Santa Cruz Bluegrass Fair will be held Saturday, May 21, 2011, from noon-5pm in Santa Cruz, CA at the Duck Pond Stage in San Lorenzo Park, 134 Dakota Ave., near the Santa Cruz County Courthouse. A free event sponsored by the Northern California Bluegrass Society (aka the Santa Cruz Bluegrass Society), this is the oldest outdoor concert series being held in Santa Cruz. Five bands will be featured: Harmony Grits, Slide Road (featuring Jim and Louise Mintun), Jimmy Chickenpants, Windy Hill, and the Down Beets. Bring a blanket or low-back chair, hat, and sunscreen. There’s plenty of room for jamming too, so bring your instruments along.
