Chulrua, a dynamic Irish traditional music trio, will be in concert at Don Quixote’s, 6275 Highway 9, Felton, CA on Sunday, May 22, 2011 at 7 pm. The Celtic Society of the Monterey Bay will present veteran tune-monger and All-Ireland champion button accordion player Paddy O’Brien from County Offaly, Ireland along with fiddler Patrick Ourceau, born and raised in France and now a resident of New York City, and Eamon O’Leary on guitar and vocals, originally from County Mayo, Ireland, raised in Dublin, and like Patrick, currently resides in New York City. They specialize in the old instrumental dance music of Ireland, including jigs, reels, hornpipes, polkas, slides, walking marches, slow airs, set dances, and the harp music of Turlough O’Carolan and others plus heart-felt songs.
