Muriel Anderson Tues May 24th

Muriel Anderson is widely regarded as one of the premier fingerstyle guitarists on the scene today. She’ll be performing at an intimate house concert on the west side of Santa Cruz, CA on Tuesday, May 24, 2011 at 7:30pm. For location and reservations contact Steve Palazzo <[email protected]>. Muriel is the only woman to have won the National Fingerpicking Guitar Championship. Her music can be heard in Woody Allen’s film “Vicky Cristina Barcelona” and her “Heartstrings” recording accompanied astronauts on the space shuttle Discovery. Muriel recorded the video below earlier this month, playing a harp guitar in her garden in honor of Santa Cruz’s Velzoe Brown, who passed away recently at the age of 101.
