McCartney: June 16th on KZSC

Once The Beatles were done, Paul McCartney began to drink…a lot. It’s easy to imagine, being part of the biggest act in show business and then going through a painful “divorce” from his bandmates. Paul eventually chose to wheel in a Studer recorder and put down on tape many ideas – some dating back to his Quarryman days. He wrote, played all the instruments and his wife Linda took the pictures for what became his first solo album known as “McCartney”. Originally released in April, 1970 the record has now been re-released. New clean sound, additional tracks not found on the original and rare live recordings from 1979 are included. The reissued “McCartney” will be featured on KZSC’s “Here, There and Everywhere” program Thursday, June 16th as we also celebrate his birthday a couple days early by giving away stuff and playing lots of Paul. The party runs from 6 to 9 AM.
