This week at KZSC we celebrated the much anticipated arrival of Grieves’ new album Together/Apart. Released June 21 from Rhymesayers Entertainment, it is the collaboration of Grieves and producer Budo. As did the former 2008 88 Keys And Counting, the album brings jazz, soul, beats, and heart-wrenching rhymes. While Budo fills the background with soothing piano and guitar riffs, Grieves paints a story with the lines he so genuinely portrays. It’s got some kickers and some chillers, more than worth a spin!
