July 16th marked another crackalakin evening in Hip Hop history. Directly below the Brooklyn bridge, despite having no ticket and a bit late, I was lucky enough to make it into the Brooklyn Hip Hop Festival. Headlined this year by Q-Tip and friends, (who consisted of legendary emcees Black Thought, Busta Rhymes, and Kanye West) things could not have gotten any higher. It was another incredible landmark moment for the constantly progressing timeline that is Hip Hop history, and certainly one of the greatest shows I’ve been fortunate enough to finagle my way into.

Kanye West should never ever be considered a landmark in hip hop, or a legendary Emcee. In fact, he’s pop. xD Very envious you got to see Black Thought though. His clip in the alley, freestyling as objects were named inspired so many people I know.
