Radio Roulette July 23rd

Every so often there is a hiccup in life that we must deal with. Lots of people rail against the inconvenience that lays waste to long determined cherished plans; others get curious as to what an unexpected turn of events will bring in the way of a positive shift in their reality. KZSC’s Program Review Committee is of the latter ilk, or at least I am. So it is with our Saturday morning 6-9 am programming which has now morphed into a collective endeavor. Each of us on the PR’ will take turns treating listeners with something near and dear to our hearts that we want the world to hear. On July 23rd I’m looking forward to revisiting the days of ‘Turtle Island’., the long-running ‘Native American’ music program that also brought ‘news and views from Indian country’ to the KZSC airwaves. I was host of that show in 2005-06, having inherited it from ‘Nanalq, The White Bear’ and many before who delivered it for over 20 years. My DJ moniker back then was ‘DJ SparrowHawk’ and I’ll be dusting it off to use this Saturday. I hope to be covering the same time slot on July 30th where I’ll be reliving my earliest KZSC glory days  from the year 2000 when I programmed my first show, ‘Celtic Undercurrents’, under the identity of ‘Carney Hayes McClane’ using three of my grandparents last names. Oh what fun it will be to pay homage again to my Irish and Scottish roots! Just know that when you tune into KZSC from 6-9 am. on Saturday morning during the summer schedule, or anytime during any day for that matter, you will be treated to a wonderfully unique, and personally loved, selection of programming found only on listener supported KZSC. You can ‘bet on it’!
