Last Saturday, October 1st, marked the 50th anniversary of Roger Maris hitting his 61st homerun to pass Babe Ruth and set the single season homerun record (since broken).
The KZSC Sports Department will commemorate Maris’ achievement by interviewing Tom Clavin, author of ‘Roger Maris: Baseball’s Reluctant Hero.’ In this interview, Clavin will detail Roger Maris’ life, baseball career, and pursuit of the single season homerun record. The interview will air on SLUGTALK today between 4 and 5 PM on KZSC.
