During my year DJing the KZSC program “Girls With Guitars”, one of my favorite artists to spin was Big Tree. I discovered the Bay Area band through a friend who told me how I just had to play them on my show. I was convinced after playing the first minute of song one. A couple weeks later, two Big Tree CDs and a tote bag (save the trees!) showed up in my KZSC mailbox, mailed personally by the band’s drummer. Ever since, Big Tree has been played by many of the KZSC DJs as I spread the word.
Big Tree plays as part of a big 3-Band Night at the Crepe Place in Santa Cruz November 6th, part of a national tour supporting their latest album “This New Year.” Music begins at 9 pm.
