One benefit of taking on the position of Class Instructor at KZSC is personally knowing the people who will be the future of KZSC radio DJs, and now that all of their final grades have been finished, I have to say that I am confident about this bunch’s upcoming contributions to the air waves for Winter Quarter! As a sneak preview, we have DJs who are enthusiastic about hip hop, jazz, shoegaze, and much much more. Be sure to tune into the Great 88 this coming winter to hear their fresh new shows!

If you are interested in what shows your audience likes and would like to hear more of in the future, here are my favorites:
Sundays/Breakfast in bed, Rockistry, Spoonful of Blues and Bonzai Washout
Tuesdays/Triple Decker Tues., Muzical Jewz, Cold Fusion
Wednesdays/Sex Dope and Cheap Thrills, Golden Road, Bikini Kill
Thursdays/Here, There and Everywhere
Fridays/Test of Time, Not So Distant Relatives
Saturdays/Jailbirds, Jazz Kitty and That Thang.
I’m a big fan and supporter of listener-sponsored radio. In 1979 and 80 I did a jazz show for 6 months and a Motown show under the name “Symphony El the Brooklyn Dream” on KAZU-FM (10 watts at that time) in Pacific Grove. I’m also the proud owner of a KZSC hoodie and “Commercial Radio Sucks” t-shirt. That being said, you should obviously continue you all the shows I like.
Thanks to you all,
-Elliot
