Ruined at UCSC Feb 24th

The African American Theater Arts Troupe in conjunction with UCSC’s Theater Arts Department presents “Ruined.” Directed by Don Williams and written by Lynn Nottage, the play is based on interviews she conducted in Africa with Congo refugees. Set in a rain forest bar and brothel in the brutally war-torn Congo, it’s an uncommonly human story with humor and song, served alongside post-colonial and feminist politics.  “Ruined” will be presented at the UCSC Theater Arts Second Stage February 24th-26th at 3 pm and 7 pm. It moves to the Stevenson Events Center March 2nd and 3rd for evening performances at 7. For more information call 459-1861.
