The 60′s made-for-TV pop group, The Monkees, mourns the loss of their lead singer, Davy Jones who passed February 29 after a heart attack at his Florida home.
The Monkees, despite their short-lived popularity, were an integral part of iconic pop of the 1960′s with songs including “Daydream Believer” and “Look out (Here Comes Tomorrow)”. His ashes are to be scattered in his native Manchester, England in conjunction with a public memorial service in the third week of March. A second service will also be held in either Los Angeles or New York. There has also been talk of the surviving bandmates to perform at one of his public memorials, although nothing has been confirmed. We wish all the best to his family, including his wife and four daughters.
