That’s right, the Brady Bunch have arrived, much to the excitement of students at KZSC. We’ve named our ten new Tascam portable audio recorders after members of the famous TV family. These devices will enable our student Talk Programming team to get in-person audio and cover exciting events. Most recently, five members of the Brady Bunch were used to collect audio during the March 1st “Day of Action” protests at UC Santa Cruz. The audio was then edited together and presented in a special broadcast the same night. The Bunch are not just restricted just to our campus. “Jan Brady” took a little trip up to San Francisco to cover a Red Bull concert event and “Marcia Marcia Marcia” put her activist hat on to head for Sacramento, collecting audio of student protesters on the steps of the capitol. Overall, the new recorders have been a big help to the Talk Programming Department and deliver top notch on-site sound. To hear some of the past Talk Programming shows check our podcast link. We’d like to thank those listeners who donated this year to KZSC; your support has made this possible!
