Robert Cray Band May 5th

Who can forget the college classic film, Animal House. If you’ve seen it once or a million times you never forget the performances by party band Otis Day and the Knights. Little known fact: Robert Cray was the uncredited bass player. Just a blip in a career that has included sharing the bill with friend Eric Clapton, having a Fender Stratocaster guitar named after him and winning five Grammy awards. Yes, he’s in the Blues Hall of Fame too. Robert Cray and his band return to The Rio Theatre in Santa Cruz to give you a lesson in the blues Saturday, May 5th. Showtime is 8 pm.
