You Don’t Have To Be Kosher…

Our Program Review Committee wanted to make sure you knew about our weekend program “Musical Jews”. DJ Oy Dog (aka Dylan Music, on the left, with guest Rebecca Stark) has been spinning songs by Jewish artists since he a was a UCSC student many years ago. Hard to imagine Henny Youngman next to Matisyau? Think Yiddish with a twist. Tune in Sundays at 4 pm to find out more on KZSC.

McCartney’s Ram Thursday

To produce a second record after the demise of The Beatles, Paul McCartney took wife Linda and a bunch of song demos to New York City. After picking some star sidemen the McCartney’s “Ram” album began to take shape. The final result produced his first #1 hit in America post-Fab Four and before Wings. Hear the story behind the making of “Ram” this Thursday, August 2nd beginning at 6 AM during the “Here, There & Everywhere” program on KZSC.
