KZSC World Music department’s been getting some excellent new Latin music lately. From salsa to cumbia to bossa nova, we’re all groovin’ to the smooth spring rhythms, feeling the love for “tropicál” and finding some really cool influences & technologies going into the development of today’s Latin music scene. If you’d like to check out some new Latin spices with a local flavor, may I suggest Flor de Caña at Don Quixote’s April 22nd? Presenting Cuban son, Colombian cumbia and various other Caribbean styles, Flor de Caña is a Santa Cruz-based group that keeps true the roots while creating their own style. Showtime is 8 pm. Don Quixote’s is in downtown Felton.
