KZSC invites you to tune in to our live broadcast of Toni Morrison’s sold out talk, “Literature and the Silence of Goodness,” which she will be delivering from the Rio Theatre in Santa Cruz.

Morrison is a novelist, editor, and professor, best known for her novels Beloved, The Bluest Eye, Sula, and Song of Solomon. She has garnered acclaim for her epic power, ear for dialogue, and for her poetically-charged, expressive depictions of Black America. She won the Pulitzer Prize in 1988, the Nobel Prize in 1993, and the Presidential Medal of Freedom in 2012.

Morrison will be introduced by UCSC Professor Angela Y. Davis.
