This Sunday, November 14th, KZSC Welcomes Oh No Oh My & Pomegranates at The Crepe Place in Santa Cruz. Oh No Oh My, formerly known as Oh No! Oh My!, is a twee pop four piece from Austin, Texas. Oh No Oh My has toured with bands such as The Flaming Lips, Mew, Au Revoir Simone, and many many more. Oh No Oh My’s second full length LP, People Problems, will be released in January 2011. Opening for Oh No Oh My is and coming band, Pomegranates. Pomegranates is an indie rock band from Cincinnati. Pomegranates just released their third LP, One of Us, which is garnering tons of press. So come on down to The Crepe Place, this Sunday, November 14th, to see a great show supported by the great 88, KZSC Santa Cruz! Doors are at 8pm, and the show starts at 9pm.
With the recent passing of “The Cool Ruler” Gregory Issacs, it’s a good time to see and appreciate the true original greats of reggae while they’re still alive. Don Carlos has been recording and performing roots music since the 1960′s. He’s best known for his stint as vocalist with Black Uhuru and songs like “Pass Me the Laser Beam” however but The Don still has lots to say. Don Carlos & the Dub Vision band perform Friday, November 12th at Moe’s Alley in Santa Cruz. Opening will be Thrive. Doors at 8 pm; music begins at 9.

Tune in to KZSC’s “Pop Molecule”, today, Monday October 18th at 2pm for a special acoustic performance by the band Telekinesis. Telekinesis is Michael Benjamin Lerner, an indie pop musician from Seattle, WA.
