It’s not every day that international DJs come through the Bay Area. Reason enough for KZSC’s RPM & Promo departments to get excited about “Beyond Wonderland” next weekend. The weekend festival September 28th & 29th will highlight the best from progressive house, trance, dubstep, trap, and any other imaginable genre on the electronic spectrum including up and coming British DJs Jamie Jones and world stylist Oliver Twizt. How these musicians’ work translates in an outdoor Amphitheater will be very interesting. KZSC is going to share this experience by offering ticket giveaways during Booty Bouncing Bass (Sun. Sept. 22 10:30pm-12:30am) and on The Endless Loop (Mon. Sept. 23 10:30pm-12:30am). Be sure to tune in to 88.1FM KZSC for your chance to win a pair of weekend passes. You can also enter RIGHT NOW by liking KZSC on Facebook and by sharing the image of the Beyond Wonderland Lineup. One winner will be picked at random on Tuesday at noon. Please keep in mind that Beyond Wonderland Bay Area is an 18+ event.
As good as it sounds on the radio, there’s nothing like seeing live music…especially for FREE! KZSC will be giving away tickets to some great September concerts in Santa Cruz and beyond such as Ty Segall in Big Sur September 4th, Blonde Redhead at the Rio Theatre September 6th and the 2-day electronic music festival called Beyond Wonderland Bay Area September 28th & 29th at the Shoreline Amphitheater in Mountain View. It pays to listen to KZSC; stay tuned during September for a chance to win a pair of tickets to an upcoming show.

Here’s a look at a few of the faces behind the new voices you’ll be hearing on The Great 88 starting January 21st. Our fall quarter broadcasting class came up with programming ideas so hot, we had to have them approved by the campus Fire Department. Besides the difference on the air, significant changes will be happening behind the microphone at KZSC in the year to come. More info as it happens appears on our KZSC Newsletter, along with contests for prizes in each edition. Want to know more about the prizes? Want to know more about KZSC?
