Besides wolfing down the pretzels, bratwurst and beverages, KZSC celebrates the month of October as only we can-by changing our program schedule. Gone are the long summer days, the hours at the beach and sand fleas. Now come the early evenings, long pants and lederhosen plus new programs hosted by UCSC students. Yes, many of your old favorites will still pour out of the radio as well. To find out more, keep an eye on our website and an ear to The Great 88 as we toast our new Fall Program Schedule beginning Monday, October 8th. Cheers!
Here on the campus of UCSC, Shakespeare Santa Cruz still has a bit more than three weeks left for this marvelous festival before things wrap up on August 26th, & we here at KZSC still have a full 2 months of programming to go for our Summer schedule. But, yours truly is already planning for the Fall, because that is when our annual music sale happens. We are digging through the stacks to find the duplicate LPs & other music to purge. So far, there are 10 bins of CDs already stacked up & in storage. I hope to have a good deal of vinyl to move out as well, because we do not need 2 copies of anything. In the meantime, Shakespeare is in the glen & KZSC is on the airwaves; enjoy your Summer & see you in the Fall.

We asked fans of The Great 88 to send us a postcard while on summer vacation. The first batch included Kama’ole Beach in Maui, “Beer Mondays” from Portland and this gem from someone who claims to have been abducted by aliens while prospecting. If your summer plans call for travel anywhere between Los Gatos and the Galapagos Islands don’t forget to take your favorite station along by using our website or Smart Phone App. And before you’re transported beyond our solar system, please mail us a postcard. We’ll share your card and comments with others on our website. Mail your postcards to:
