KZSC is a student-run, noncommercial, educational, community radio station at UC Santa Cruz. At our core, we are curators, journalists, and advocates of inclusivity and the collaborative arts. We broadcast at 20,000 watts to over 3.2 million people in Santa Cruz, San Benito, and Monterey Counties.
We at KZSC share the goal of uplifting alternative and underrepresented voices in the media, and this page is your chance to support us in return!
We wouldn't have been able to broadcast for 55 years without the support of our listeners! Your donation goes a long way towards training the next generation of DJ's so that we can keep going 55 more years.
As well as serving the public, KZSC serves UCSC students. KZSC provides a home for all UCSC students, and has retained many students who would have otherwise left the university. Through our radio broadcast class, staff experience, and governing board positions we have provided a truly unique educational experience that provides students a space to grow.
And these are just a few examples of our costs as a station!
