Rizal Aliga (RIZ aka RSD) is 19 years old from Vallejo, CA. Riz is currently a second-year Legal Studies (major)/Education (minor) affiliated with Cowell College. Riz has been at KZSC since early November, first contributing to two blogs along with DJ Elbo, the 2016-2017 Hip-Hop Director. Then later became DJ Elbo's mentee of "Got Rapps?" (Friday's 10PM-12AM) in Winter 2017.
Riz graduated the Intro to Radio course in Winter 2017. He was the first person to interview the hottest rap group in the world, SOB X RBE on February 4, 2017, receiving recognition by HYPEBEAST, XXL, theFader, & COMPLEX, alongside receiving Volunteer of the (Winter) Quarter, logging 44 hours, the most by an Intro to Radio student (according to DJPK).
Came Spring 2017, Riz became the first person to host a student-run Island Reggae show "Highway To Irie" (Saturday's 10PM-12AM), receiving assistance by DJ Mu & DJ MoKat. With that, Riz interviewed huge artists like Katchafire, Sammy J, Rebel Souljahz, Eli-Mac & Jordan T.
RSD, who also works with UCSC Athletics as the Event Manager, Announcer/DJ/Marketing & Advertisements, has recently revived and has been appointed as the Sports Director at KZSC, which has been vacant since 2015.
In Summer 2017, Riz has co-hosted two shows, "Got Rapps?" (Monday's 10PM-12AM) with outgoing Hip-Hop Director DJ Elbo & "That's Fresh!" (Thursday's 10PM-12AM) with incoming Hip-Hop Director DJ Jinx.
RSD currently rolls with four (4) shows this Fall 2017, "That's Fresh" (Monday's 11PM-12AM) with Hip-Hop Director DJ Jinx, sometimes "Queen Beats" (Tuesday's 10PM-12AM) with DJ Jinx & DJ Kaviar, "Got Rapps?" (Wednesday's 10PM-12AM) with DJ Elbo, & revived "Slug Talk" (Friday's 5PM-5:30PM).
