From left to right, here are the Ilyn sisters: Natasha, Samantha and Tatianna. This is a KZSC first: two siblings on our Governing Board at the same time. Natasha was elected into the Promotions Director position (handling ticket & swag giveaways) and Tatianna will be our new Design Director (stickers, shirts and other goodies). Sadly, we couldn’t make it a trio; Samantha is only 17 and came by to visit her sisters at The Great 88. Who knows? It could be all Ilyn, all the time in 2014 at KZSC!
If your crusty old phone is toast and you’re replacing it with an Android or you just spent some bread on a new iPad or iPhone, we have hot news. KZSC has apps that allow you to take The Great 88 anywhere you want with your smartie-pants phone. You listen live to either program stream, see music playlists and best yet, the apps are FREE! It’s the greatest thing since sliced…well, you get it. Find information about live streaming, recording your favorite shows and free device apps on our LISTEN PAGE and toast the spring!
The little radio station in the woods that you know and love opened our roadside Pledge Drive Store during March and loaded it with all kinds of music, DVDs, KZSC brand clothing and other goodies to choose from. Not only can you find cool stuff for yourself or others, but you’ll glad to know that all funds from purchases and donations go toward our operating costs for the next six months. Every once and a while we find a stray field mouse inside our roadside joint. Keep him company by sending your computer mouse running into the KZSC Pledge Drive Store today.
Celebrating 45 years of waking people up in Santa Cruz, the new KZSC “45” shirt features two battling bantams on the front. If the front celebrates our past, the back acknowledges the future with our URL in a dark, rooster red. You can sport your own Radio Rooster and be a community radio booster. Find out how at our KZSC WEB STORE.
Summer in Surf City? We’ve got a shirt that looks good wet or dry. The KZSC Surf Shirt looks so good you can almost smell the saltwater. It features the red, green and gold reggae colors and is available in all sizes inside our website shop.
