Everybody had such a good time at our first Summer Music Sale, we can hardly wait to do it again. It’s almost time! We’ll see you at Verve on Saturday August 30th. An expanded set of vendors, mild summer weather, and all the great memories from last year mean that we expect even more of our friends will come out this time. Save the date. We’ll bring KZSC coffee mugs to hold your favorite beverage from Verve, and record tote bags to haul off all the great music you’ll find.
What could be better than being surrounded by music and the passionate fanatics drawn to it? Other than winning the Irish Sweepstakes, not much. If you’re a record collector or just like people watching, the annual KZSC Ultimate Music Sale should be your destination Saturday, November 23rd. Dozens of music vendors will be selling everything from rare collectibles to bargain-priced vinyl and CDs. And back by popular demand, The Great 88 will have a separate titanic table with no item over 25 cents. Fun for the whole family and a Santa Cruz tradition in the fall, the Ultimate Music Sale is…well, the ultimate. FREE admission; FREE parking. Get there early for best selection. The double doors open at 10 AM Saturday, November 23rd. Follow the signs and balloons to the Crown/Merrill Cultural Center on the UCSC campus. More info and pictures on our Facebook Page.
Start saving your lunch money and mark Saturday, November 23rd as your date with KZSC’s Annual Ultimate Music Sale. Thousands of LPs, CDs and assorted music memorabilia items will be available from dozens of different vendors. And by popular demand, KZSC brings back our 25-cent music table. You read correct: CDs and vinyl for just a quarter each. Admission and parking are FEE; this is a fundraiser for KZSC and a lot of fun. Come early for best selection. Doors open at 10 AM.
Limited space is still available if you are interested in renting a seller’s table. Email Charlie at firstname.lastname@example.org for details. Music sale updates and more info will be posted on Instagram, Facebook and right here.
The brutal truth is this: there’s a lot of stuff in your life that needs to get moved out the door and down the road and KZSC is no exception. We have a fantastic music collection that has grown (or groan!) over four decades. But this also means that there are quite a few records that are warped, cracked, chipped, badly scratched or just plain worn out. My mission is to go through our library album by album and send the broken ones to vinyl heaven. They’ve been hiding in the shadows long enough and with shelf space at a premium I have to pull them all. So keep your eyes open at our Annual Music Sale coming in November…we promise an exceptional amount of vinyl for sale cheap. Plus you may come across some cool album covers-even if the LP is a little worse for wear.
